Mr Jamie Jackson Commences PhD

The OPTIMAL Centre of Research Excellence is pleased to welcome Jamie as a new OPTIMAL-funded PhD candidate in the field of blood cancers. Jamie is undertaking his PhD at The University of Queensland under the supervision of A/Prof Dr Andrea Henden, Professor Jason Roberts, and Dr Midori Nakagaki. His research will focus on immunoglobulin dosing, applying pharmaceutical principles and advanced modelling techniques to investigate and optimise the clinical use of immunoglobulin.


Jamie's PhD is supported by funding from OPTIMAL and is being conducted in collaboration with The University of Queensland, reflecting OPTIMAL’s commitment to strengthening translational research and workforce capacity in immunoglobulin use and blood cancer care.


Alongside his PhD, Jamie is an Oncology Pharmacist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and holds a Master of Clinical Pharmacy from The University of Queensland, bringing valuable clinical expertise to his research.


We warmly welcome Jamie to OPTIMAL and look forward to the important contributions his work will make to improving immunoglobulin use and patient outcomes.
